American Covers Inc. was founded in 1995 by Rick Fogarty as part of the initial initiative of the Jefferson Parish Economic Development Commission (JEDCO). The company moved to a permanent facility in Harvey, LA in 2002 and that location was expanded in 2006. After Hurricane Katrina, Rick and Terri Fogarty purchased a property in Mandeville,LA with the intention of eventually relocating the company to St. Tammany Parish. The construction of their new metal fabricating facility there was completed in 2014. In 2019, American Covers, Inc. expanded with a larger corporate headquarters and a state-of-the-art fabric manufacturing facility. As a result of reaching capacity, a third expansion in 2022 resulted in an additional 8,000 square feet of warehousing space, along with a large laydown yard for rental materials storage. American Covers, Inc. is well positioned to meet strong customer demand and future growth objectives.
